WHOA!

Wow, so it's been a while since my last post! I kept meaning to sit down and write something but I have been a very busy girl. Plus, episodes2-4 of Bones were good but nothing to really write home about, you know. Though I wasn't thrilled with those episodes, I kept telling myself to just be patient and along comes episode 5, A Night at the Bones Museum. As a Bones fan, you gotta know that anytime any other potential love interest is floating around an episode there are gonna be some good angsty Brennan/Booth moments...and boy howdy, did we ever get one at the end of that episode!!! I'm hoping that right there is where this season really takes flight.

You can't deny that Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz have chemistry like WHOA! That scene made me blush, gave me heart palpitations, and had my toes curled...no joke, it was hot, readers. The body language in that scene spoke volumes, especially on Brennan's part. I thought Emily did a fabulous job in that scene; she really brought Brennan's feelings for Booth to the surface, not just with what Brennan had to say but with how she said it. I LOVED how she looked like she got caught red-handed when Booth asked her why she brought him to the party and not Andrew...cute, very cute.I LOVED how she was throwing him those doe eyes, looking him up and down, doing that kinda, sorta whispering thing. It was hot and Booth couldn't resist. He did his Booth thing...gulping, stuttering, smiling nervously...and almost going for it, but not quite. Perhaps he would have had he not been conveniently interrupted by a certain group of Squints. Is that a running joke or something? Every time those two have come close to kissing for real leave it to a Squint to barge in and kill the moment. Methinks it might be time for HH to think of a new interruption...a falling anvil perhaps? OR, how 'bout this, NO INTERRUPTION AT ALL!!! Imagine the possibilities...

That final scene reminded me so much of the last scene in The Truth in the Lye. In both scenes the UST was through the roof...ridiculous amounts of eye sex going on...Brennan giving Booth the green light to go for it...Booth getting all flustered and shy...and, finally, an interruption by the Squints. That last scene in Lye remains one of my top 5 B&B UST scenes to date...and this one sits up there in rank, as well. I have watched it, oh, about 17 times so far...possibly more, actually. The whole scene is...well, it's electric. I can't get enough of it and I'm planning on using it as my lifeline to carry me through to November.

So, where do we go from here? Though I know HH is trying to stretch out this UST between them for as long as humanly possible, I think we are going to have a breakthrough sooner than later. I feel like there are a lot of holes in that wall that's been placed between them for so long now...the more holes there are the more stuff will start to leak through...and, eventually, the whole wall will just come crumbling down. I know the whole Gravedigger trial is supposed to be coming up for November sweeps period. I'm predicting that a lot of what Brennan went through in that car and a lot of what she was thinking about as she lingered so close to death is going to come to the surface. Now, whether or not HH imagined it this way back in Season 2 when Brennan was buried alive, it would fit perfectly if we were to find out that she thought she was going to die without getting to tell Booth how she felt about him. That's where that legendary note comes into play. If indeed the contents of that note are revealed in the upcoming Gravedigger story arc I think there is going to be significant progress made with these two. Of course, there are many more twists and turns and bumps in the road ahead for Brennan and Booth, but I'm hoping that they at least start to go down the road we all want them to be on before this season is over.

I know HH is hesitant to fool with the UST they've got going on bc of the whole fabled 'Moonlighting' effect blah blah blaaaahhhh, but there is so much untapped potential just waiting there if he DOES get them together soon. I mean, I know I would LOVE to see them try to keep things a secret, figure out how to work together and be together, and just see them TOGETHER having private moments...keep the eye sex but have some actual sex already. Geez, even Parker knows his pop needs a good woman around!!! Booth knows he needs Bones, too, and I love that he is so sweet and shy around her. He's so in love with her but I want him to be a little more aggressive...and, you know, I think Brennan wants that, too. She wants him to spell it out for her so she is secure in following her own heart, which she won't do unless she knows he's 100% for real...basically what Cam told Booth back in Harbingers. Man up, Booth and GO FOR IT!!! She was giving you the go ahead sign (again)...it's time you took it...seriously...just do it...kiss the girl!

But I digress...I have to accept that I am not in charge of this show...it doesn't matter how many times I Tweet Mr. Hanson begging for some scraps to be thrown this fangirl's way. Things will unfold as he wants them to and I am doing my best to trust that he will do right by these two and by the fans who so desperately want them to get together. I wonder if he realizes the reason the ratings have risen so much so far this season is because the UST is at a fever pitch....and you know what the only cure for that fever is??? MORE KISSING, DAMMIT!!!

The classic silence, the slight lean inwards....all set up for that wonderful kiss you know we all want. Then....

Sweets, Cam, Angela and Daisy ruin it.

*silently apologizes* I just hate it when that happens! They get us all psyced for the kiss with the classics, then make someone interupt. Why, Hart? WHY....?

On a happier note, we have seen a new side of Brennan. THE FANGIRL. We actually saw her squee. So I wasn't imagining! She has changed! NYEH!

And Daisy is back. In my opinion, my intern pick is Wendell. And if that doesn't happen, Vince. Then Clark, then Fisher....THEN Daisy. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. I don't like her. Why? I don't know. I just DON'T LIKE HER.

Maybe it's because of the fem/male balance. I just don't think there's any more room for another girl. Brennan, Angela, Cam - Booth, Hodgins, Male Intern. Yes, Sweets, but he's not in th lab, so I dissmiss him from my scale. Sorry, bud.

Maybe it's because she's so mean to Sweets sometimes. She has an ATTITUDE.

And Maybe it's her girly-ness. Never been a girly girl, never will be.

Skipping back an episode, who else thinks Parker's face paint was EPIC? ME!!!

HITF Review- BonesLover

Hello!

This is my review of Harbingers in the Fountain. I'm sure Elena will be making one, as well.

Let's start with a little game- Hart VS Viewers!

The season premiere was just awesome. One for Hart!

It fulfilled ALMOST ALL the spoilers! One for Hart!

There was NO KISS & NO REAL ROMANCE. One for Viewers!

The almost kiss wasn't even meant for the lips! One for Viewers!

Booth. LIKES. CLOWNS. 1,429,610 points for Viewers!

We pwn Hart.

The episode made me squeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Cyndi Lauper did an amazing job as the psychic. The beginning scene was so wonderfully done.

"I see a sick man in the hospital. He takes refuge in a dream life. You're there, in the dream, and you're helping him to create that dream life by telling him a story. You're both so happy in the story, so happy it's almost sad when he wakes up."

After some convo, she follows with:

"The man whose life you saved is really excited to see you again."

Avalon is deeeeeep. :)

Ok, so we know Cyndi Lauper can totally act. Now let's focus on the main characters.

Booth is way different, don't you think? It's actually a little scary.

No more Cocky.....:( And no more flashy ties. At least we got the socks back, though! We always loved Booth's fashion sense, from the rainbow ties to belt buckles that are used to blow up things, he knows how to pick em. Now, they've disappeared in that bruised brain of his, and we fear we'll never see them again.

Type Of Change #2- Speech

H-He's t-talking l-like th-this. We hear Booth stuttering and repeating things constantly in HITF. Take the 2nd scene, for example.

"You are now fit for duty."

"I'm fit for duty!"

See? So sad.

Type Of Change #3- CLOWNS.

There's just a few. We know he's changing, but he's still the same old Booth deep inside...right?

Yes, not much.

But she has been different- She's becoming more adept at the social thing. Like, she seems more...able to chat. Like, yes, she's still literal, but it seems since season 4 she's taken a step forward. I might just be imagining things. I tend to do that. :)

THEY'RE HEEEEERE!!!

THE PROMOS ARE HERE!  THE PROMOS ARE HERE!  I, like all devoted 'Bones' fans out there, have been repeatedly flailing my hands, jumping up and down, and SQUEEEEEEing, every single time I catch one of the Season 5 promos Fox has been airing.  September 17th cannot come fast enough!  I have to say that I am really, really excited about the new season and I think the promos have done a fabulous job of giving us some tasty little tidbits to chew on while we wait anxiously.

So, what have we learned from the promos?  Oh, where to begin...oh right, Booth tells Bones that he loves her!  That seems fairly important to mention here.  :) Of course, as you may have seen in the promos, he immediately follows up his declaration of love with "in a professional, atta boy, kinda way."  This addendum is in reaction to the Brennan's trademark look of confusion and discomfort.  Obviously, Booth has awoken from his coma with a newfound knowledge of the depth of his feelings for her...not that he didn't know he loved her beforehand, but I think getting that glimpse of what life could be like with her as his girl has really kicked things into high gear for him now.  I suppose before it was easier for him to repress his feelings for Brennan because he didn't know any better, in a way.  Now, however, he has been through the looking glass and back again...he knows what it would be like if he could be with her and there really is no going back now.  Of course, he will try to keep his feelings for her at bay but there is only so much pretending he will be able to do.  You know that at some point he is going to get tired of not living the life he knows they could have together...and when he reaches that point...well, that's when things are really gonna get interesting.

I am so excited that things with these two are going to come to some sort of head this season.  I think seeing Booth struggle with these feelings he has for Brennan is going to be so much fun to watch....and seeing Brennan struggle to continue to deny her own feelings for Booth which were definitely pushed further to the surface last season is going to be so angsty it's not even funny....and I know I'm gonna eat it up!

I'm also excited to see how this change in Brennan and Booth's relationship will affect the whole team.  I mean, they all already know that these two are totally in love with each other...Angela and Sweets, especially...but the foretold "awkwardness" Angela speaks of in one of the promos is going to be so interesting to watch unfold. Plus, Cam obviously knows about Booth's feelings for Brennan...she states in the promo, "You're in love with Dr. Brennan."  It's not a question for Booth...it's a fact that she is just putting out there.  I wonder how she will be a factor in what happens between them this season.  As Booth once told Brennan, they are the center of the group and the center must hold.  What happens when the center holds but is full of secret lovin' and angsty goodness???  Oh my, I cannot wait to find out!

Hart Hanson and David Boreanaz were both talking about how Booth and Brennan will be "rediscovering" each other this season, not only because Booth will have some memory gaps but because they definitely see each other in a new light now.  Booth knows he is in love with Brennan and he won't be able to help but see her as "Bren," his wife from his coma dream.  Brennan knows she is in love with Booth, too, though she will, of course, put that in a neat little box and shove it deep down inside somewhere...even still, what she wrote about and the revelations she had while Booth was in that coma will undoubtedly affect her view of Booth.  I wouldn't be surprised, dear readers, if we see Brennan date other men in a desperate attempt to forget about those feelings.  Of course, she will fail miserably but I'm game to watch her go for it.  Good luck to you, Bones! 

I always love B&B's sessions with Sweets, but now I'm especially looking forward to them.  So much about their relationship and feelings for each other have been revealed during their chats with Sweets...imagine what is going to come out now or at the very least be hinted at now that all that subtext is closer to being...well, text!  Sweets is so essential to these two progressing in their relationship and I think he is going to hit on some VERY sensitive topics this season.  He can read people almost as well as Booth can and he is going to catch on very quickly to the changes Brennan and Booth have had in terms of how they see each other.  I think Booth is going to be open to discussing things while Brennan is going to be squirming like a worm on a hook during most of these sessions.  Can't you just see it now?  I know I can!  

All the relationship business aside, I am looking forward to watching Booth rediscovering who he is as a person and as an agent.  It's not that he has forgotten himself, but bits and pieces of things have been misplaced.  I am sure there will be moments of pure frustration and those of pure joy as he puts all those pieces back together. 

It has been a long, dry summer of speculation about the upcoming season.  Being a teacher, I love the summer because it means no work. However, I am more than willing to rush the remainder of this break along just to get to the new season.  I have a feeling it's gonna be so worth it!!!  Bring on Season 5!

I still stand by my prediction about #3. I'm guessing #4 is either a serial killer (don't ask why, I just do) or the Gravedigger trial. OR EVEN AN UNDERCOVER. Thta would make me squee! It doesn't seem like a one murder episode, the name is just...not.

And #5.....somthing about the Jeffersonian or a museum Brennan likes or helped create, maybe? Or....maybe it's another lockdown. "A Night"?

Or maybe they just felt like ripping off a movie title. Who knows?

Another Comic-Con tidbit

Hello, again.  I just watched a video someone at Comic-Con posted on YouTube...it's of Hart and Emil talking about the season premiere and Booth's state of mind.  In my previous post I said that HH has stated that Booth doesn't have amnesia.  He asked "Who are you?" when he woke up and saw Brennan because he wasn't sure which Brennan she was: Brennan his partner or Brennan his wife.  In the video from Comic-Con Hart remarks that Booth's mixed up feelings about Brennan may not really be the mark of confusion; rather, it might just be that he is finally "reading his heart correctly."  I just thought that was a verrryyyy juicy little morsel that I'd like to share the blog.  What does that tell us about how Booth may be conducting himself in the presence and/or pursuit of the fair Dr. Brennan?

My Very First Blog (awwww)

Hellooooo, fellow Bones fans!  I'm Elena (aka BklynSquint) and this is my very first time as a blogger. ::hold for applause, hold for applause:: Thank you, thank you, you're all too kind.  So, this is a brand new blog started up by my blogging buddy BonesLover, and we are really hoping to catch a good following.  If you happen upon this blog and decide you like it please direct your fellow Bones fans this way.  We really love to talk about all things Bones, so come one, come all!  Bring your opinions and leave your non-Bones priorities at the door.  =OP

Ok, so, I'm going to tell you readers right now that some of my blogs MAY CONTAIN SEASON 5 SPOILERS!  Sorry, I don't mean to yell, but I want to make extra sure that everyone is aware of that so I don't inadvertently ruin things for anyone.  I will, however, do my best to warn you if a certain post contains spoilers.

Well, as you all may or may not know, Comic-Con is going on in San Diego as we speak.  In case you don't know what that means, Comic-Con is basically a convention during which various tv shows send ambassadors to talk with fans and reporters alike about said shows.  This year Hart Hanson (executive producer of Bones) and Emily Deschanel were there to represent Bones.  Wooot woooot Bones in the hizzoooouse!!! Sorry, the word "represent" triggered that.  David Boreanaz was scheduled to appear but his wife is due to give birth to their 2nd child (a girl) very soon, so he didn't want to be too far away just in case.  Can I stop for a moment to say how much my love for that man grows by the minute? SIGH.  Be mine, Boreanaz...be mine.  <3

Alright, back to business.  Though I would LOVE to be at Comic-Con, I'm not, but I have managed to get some scoopage on Season 5 direct from Hart and Emily.  Ok, those of you living spoiler-free, you might not want to read on because though I am not going to give away anything major, some info about season 5 is on its way. You've been warned. =)

Spoiler #1:  When asked about the future of Brennan and Booths's torrid relationship, Hart Hanson was, predictably, vague and non-committal (ugh, what's new?).  He says that though he does know for sure if those two will get together for real or not he is not about to reveal his plans.  He says it's penciled in, whatever that means.  Um, is there actually a dilemma here about whether or not they will get together?  If us fans suffer through at least the contracted 6 seasons of this undeniable love between these two just to have them NOT get together at some point...holy cow, that man will be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E.  Come on, Hanson, don't even try to toy with our emotions here.  They belong together...you know it, they know it, we know it, Sweets knows it, even Gordon Gordon knows it!  Now, am I saying they need to get together this season and then stay together surrounded by rainbows and sunshine for all time?  No, definitely not.  I LOVE the undeniable sexual tension between them and I get that it needs to be carefully preserved because keeping that tension between them alive is really in the show's best interest.  However, I do think that things between them need to go beyond their deep and prolonged gazing into one another's eyes and conversations Freud would have a field day with...and it needs to happen this season!  I am continually frustrated that their one and only kiss happened 2 seasons ago...and it only happened because Bones was blackmailed into it!  I'm not saying that I'm even looking to have them rip each other's clothes off and lock themselves in a bedroom for days on end (not that I would protest that).  I'm all for the slow burn but I think Hart Hanson is taking things a bit too slowly here.  Step it up, Hanson, step it up.

Spoiler #2: The season premiere picks up 6 weeks after the season finale.  Brennan has just returned from Guatemala and Booth is still a bit dazed and confused following his brain surgery.  In recent days, Hart Hanson has said that Booth does NOT have amnesia...he hasn't forgotten who Brennan is, but his coma-induced alternate reality has him all shook up.  He asked her who she was not because he didn't remember her but because he wasn't sure whether she was his wife or his partner.  The brain surgery had him alllll sorts of befuddled.  According to a summary of the upcoming season from Fox, Booth will be very confused about his relationship with and feelings for Brennan for much of this season.  What he experienced while in a coma really sends him into a tailspin and may just be enough to encourage him to woo the good doctor.  Brennan, on the other hand, is scared poopless by the feelings for Booth she experienced and finally, in her way, acknowledged while he was in that coma.  Her response is to throw herself back into her work, full steam ahead, while attempting to push those feelings back deep down inside of her where they came from in the first place.  She is too afraid to take that leap with Booth just yet...she knows those feelings are there...we saw what she wrote about how loving someone can give you wings...she is just too afraid of losing him and her heart in one fell swoop. So her solution is to ignore her feelings and distract herself with logic and science. This fits with what Hart revealed about Brennan's trip to Guatemala.  Running off to Guatemala is exactly what I expected of Brennan...of course she took a trip to this far away place where she couldn't be reached...she is trying to hide from Booth and her feelings for him.  I have a feeling she will continue to do so for a bulk of the season while Booth tries his darndest to change her mind.

Spoiler #3: According to recent Tweets from Hart Hanson, the Gravedigger will be back this season. Her trial is beginning, which means Brennan, Booth, and Hodgins will have to relive their experiences with the GD. If you loyal viewers remember the episode in which Brennan and Hodgins were buried alive by the GD, you will probably remember that Hodgins encouraged her to write a note to someone in case they didn't make it.  Though Brennan obliged, we never found out what she wrote and to whom she addressed her note.  Hart Hanson recently revealed that the note may come up during the trial.  In addition, a unnamed source from the show says that Brennan and Booth will make major progress in their relationship this year...one big step they take will come just in time for November sweeps period.  So, I'm wondering if the GD trial takes place in November. Perhaps testifying at GD's trial plunges Booth and Brennan into some deep emotional turmoil.  Remember that Cpl. Parker's ghost asked Booth if there was every anyone he loved but never told so...Booth paused and we know he was thinking of Bones at that moment.  Maybe this trial will remind him of that thought...maybe the note will surface and force Brennan to confront her feelings for Booth.  Maybe they will actually have a conversation about their feelings for each other that doesn't get interrupted by Angela, Hodgins, et al.  Maybe none of this will happen and I'm just living in a fantasy world.  I guess we won't know until we get there, right?

Ok, so Season 5 is about a month and a half away.  I'm too lazy to count the days.  I have really high hopes for this season.  I'm 99.9999% sure there will be no sex this season...well, actual sex and not coma dream sex...so, if you're holding your breath for that to happen...well, just don't...you'll pass out.  I just have this feeling that HH is gonna do all he can to give us barely enough to keep us satisfied but just enough to keep us coming back for more. He's a crafty little bugger, that man is.  My #1 hope is to see them get some feelings out in the open...share some private moments that actually go uninterrupted...I'd love a few stolen kisses (ps one is rumored to go down in the premiere after Booth saves Brennan from a crazy dude with a knife to her throat...Hart says it was "scripted" but he can't confirm if it's for real or if it was a plant to identify leaks...darn him again!)...a romantic dance or two. I'm okay with no sex, I really am...I'm okay with them not being a couple just yet, for real!  I just want to see them make some PROGRESS this year...actual, honest-to-goodness, emotional breakthroughs!

Evevyone knows when the next Bones episode is coming on, right? Sept. 17, 'Harbingers in the Fountain'. Apparently, as of what HH says, (And we know how wonderfully truthful he is! -_-) there will be a rescue and a kiss, as I know I've been waiting for soooooo much! Bones will get stuck in a dangerous situation, Booth saves her, and they have a romantic kiss at the scene.

We know we all want this to happen.

But will it end up a lie? Is it too good to be true?
